Evening at Allalasandra Lake, Bengaluru, India
Last week, I visited Allalasandra Lake in Yelahanka, and it was the perfect mid-week breather. The clean walking track, shaded by trees, made for a peaceful stroll while the lake mirrored the warm sunset glow.
A few birds moved lazily across the water. Families, joggers, and quiet onlookers shared the space without making it feel crowded. Due to algae growth in the lake water, you can get some bad smell while walking. The fountains, walking bridge over the lake and multiple beautiful caryoto urens (toddy palms) trees are pleasant experiences.
It’s a spot that slows you down away from Bengaluru’s chaos, yet right in the middle of it.
Best time: Early morning timings and 5:30 PM sunset for cool weather and golden light.
